The Ryobi 525GE five-colour B3 format offset press offers fast makereadies and high quality full colour printing, and the option of a fifth colour or a seal in one pass, improving both efficiency and productivity.
Fulprint Finance Director, Bob Scrase, said: “This latest addition to our equipment will help us to remain very competitive. Lower wastage, faster set-up and in-line sealing all represent a more efficiently produced and more cost effective product for the customer. We expect some new clients to try our service once they see just what we can do, right here on the premises.”
Fulprint also upgraded its digital printer earlier this year, and continue to reap the benefits of its solar panel investment three years ago, which is currently providing a ROI of 11.1%. “It’s clear to us that businesses need to invest in people, infrastructure and equipment. Alongside our major capital investment in the printing press we are adding two staff to our complement, to ensure customer service is to the fore,” added Bob Scrase.
This latest investment has been boosted by a grant from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP’s) Business Growth Programme, which is itself supported by the government’s Regional Growth Fund.
Martin Gray, Managing Director, said: “We are extremely excited to be making this investment as we are a business with a long term focus, and this machine represents a long term investment. With this new press the highest demands for quality and printing accuracy are further enhanced and with faster set-up times and running speeds we can be even more efficient – a saving that we can then pass onto our customers. The new press will make our business even more competitive in the market place.”
“This new machine really takes us to the next level. It’s our biggest single investment ever and replaces our six-year-old four-colour press – a machine that we also purchased from Apex Digital Graphics. The supplier understands our business and is able to provide expert understanding of the industry. Quick make-ready, excellent print quality and, with our new sealing unit, a faster drying time all enable us to give our customers an even better service,” said Frank Curran, Production Director.
Fulprint established 1985, a completely independent company, is wholly owned and run by three hands-on directors. The Fulprint team aim to make sure that customers come back for more. The company offers a whole range of commercial printing services, including booklets, calendars, brochures, business cards, draw tickets and more! Clients include business, domestic and trade clients. The company uses Ryobi litho equipment, Xerox digital printers and platens for die cutting and creasing. The company has consistently reinvented itself to keep pace with market changes and is a strong performer in the highly competitive design and print industry.
Commenting on the order on behalf of Apex Digital Graphics, Neil Handforth, Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We are delighted to continue our long standing relationship with Fulprint by providing the very latest in B3 litho printing technology. The company illustrates perfectly how printers can utilise both offset and digital production equipment to best effect, servicing the needs of a wide range of commercial print customers. The five-unit press is ideal for the current market, with the use of a sealer unit providing both faster finishing, due to the dry to the touch sheet coming off the end of the press, and the opportunity to provide an enhanced finish to the printed work.”
