Urantia Press, Northfleet, Kent, has announced the installation of its second Ryobi two-colour press, a 522GE machine following a significant rise in orders during the last nine months. The press was purchased from, and installed by, the UK's official Ryobi distributor Apex Digital Graphics, Hemel Hempstead.
The Ryobi 522GE represents the company's third two-colour machine, joining an existing Ryobi 522HE and a Heidelberg PrintMaster portrait format press. Commenting on the latest addition Jeffrey Collins, a director of Urantia, said: "We have been seeing a significant increase in the amount of work coming in during the course of the last nine months. The new press will help us to better manage the level of demand that we are now experiencing."
The company specialises in the production of short to medium run stationery work. It has excellent working relationships with a number of print management companies, as well as local businesses in the Northfleet area. "We do utilise the two-colour machines for some short-run four-colour work," explains Mr Collins. "But that is not really where we want to be. In general four-colour printing is a very competitive market with cut-throat pricing. We have created a very nice niche for ourselves in the two colour stationery market."
A one-time all Heidelberg house, Urantia purchased its first Ryobi machine five years ago, and the company has been highly delighted with the quality of the work produced on the machine. "We had no hesitation in returning to Apex and to Ryobi for our latest purchase," said Jeffrey Collins. "The service and support that we receive from Apex has been excellent."
Thirteen-year-old Urantia employs a team of six to fulfil the needs of both corporate and public sector organisations. The company sees itself as a young, dynamic, family run business offering a wealth of printing expertise and experience. Urantia's portfolio consists of many well known names both locally and internationally, and includes Morgan Stanley, Citibank, Macmillan Cancer, Sue Ryder Care, and The Orchard Theatre, Dartford.
Jeffrey Collins adds: "Urantia's key goals include growing and expanding our business so that we can continue to offer a first class service to our clients. We strive to keep up with the ever changing technology in printing, and are proud to offer computer-to-plate technology, Ryobi and Heidelberg presses, and the very latest in finishing equipment to produce the many possible product solutions that can transform a corporate image and drive our customers sales and marketing campaigns in today's demanding business world." |
