Built-in RYOBI PCS-K
Printing Control System

The RYOBI PCS-K Printing Control System is built into the press as a space-saving feature. This system allows centralized control of the main operations and settings, such as ink and water volume control, printing parameter settings, fine adjustment of registration, impression pressure preset*, and maintenance information.
*RYOBI 784E and 784EP: option, RYOBI 782E: Not available

Space saving design

Ryobi 780 series machines are highly compact, offering substantial floorspace savings - around 40% compared to a typical B2 machine of a similar configuration.

V-shaped 5-cylinder configuration

The satellite type cylinder arrangement consists of a double diameter impression cylinder and double/triple diameter transfer drums. Double sprung grippers used on the paper feed drum, impression cylinders and transfer drums firmly grip the paper, and gripper changes are minimised. Accordingly, even during high speed operation and heavy solid printing, precise registration accuracy is maintained

Wider Paper Size

The Ryobi 780 series comes in two sizes: the S type press which offers a maximum printing area of 765 x 545 mm and the XL type press with a maximum printing area of 765 x 580 mm , enabling a wider range of printing applications. The XL type allows 6-up printing of 8.5" x 11"* letter-size. This press can flexibly handle a wide range of paper from 0.04 mm onion skin to 0.6 mm thick cardboard.

S-RPC semi automatic plate changing

Semi-RPC allows plates to be changed quickly and accurately. The operator merely sets the plate on the positioning pins and presses the button. The Semi-RPC does not need the leading edge or tail edge of the plate to be bent.

Ryobi Program Inking

Ryobi's program inking system automatically supplies ink to ink rollers to match the image from the early start of printing. After the set number of prints are finished, the ink on the rollers is automatically restored to an even state.

Suction Tape Feeder Board

The suction tape feeder board simplifies the setting of the brush and runner wheels and shortens the time required for changing paper sizes. The suction belt holds the paper securely and feeds it smoothly to the front lay.

Ryobi-matic Continuous Dampening System

The Ryobi-matic continuous dampening system assures a uniform dampening supply on the plate surface to reproduce sharp halftone dots, glossy solids and finely detailed text. Starting is quick and this system is designed to minimize wasted sheets.

The optional Ryobi-matic D Remote Continuous Dampening System substantially reduces hickeys by adopting a new drive mechanism for the water form roller that creates a rotational speed difference between the water form roller and plate cylinder.

Automatic Cleaning Devices

Automatic blanket cleaning device, automatic Ink roller cleaning device, automatic impression cylinder cleaning device (option)

Ryobi PDS (opt)

The RYOBI PDS, RYOBI PDS-E Spectro and RYOBI PDS-E Spectro AUTO measure the color bar of the printed sheet using special sensors in a spectrophotometer
(densitometer is used for PDS-E and PDS-E AUTO).
Values needed to correct color densities to match those of the OK sheet are calculated and provided as feedback to the RYOBI Printing Control System which, in turn, makes appropriate adjustments in the openings of the ink fountain keys.

Ryobi IVS (Ink Volume Setter) (opt)

Image area calculation software. Converts digital artwork into ink duct profiles, dramatically reducing asker times. Runs from a Windows PC, and is has a similar structure to the popular Harlequin RIP system. Can be independent or piggybacked to your existing RIP.

MIS Connection Software (for CIP4-JDF) (option)

Software to enable printing process management from a MIS (Management Information System)Boost productivity by integrating workflow including production, sales and administration.

Ryobi Print Job Manager (option)

The RYOBI Print Job Manager connects RYOBI printing presses in a network to perform centralized production schedule management by optimally assigning job data to each press. It also gathers real time information on operating status and automatically generates productivity assessment data for each press.
The RYOBI Print Job Manager is a powerful support tool for printing companies who want to boost productivity.

Automatic Convertible Perfecting Device (RYOBI 784EP)

Switching between straight printing and perfecting can be performed from the RYOBI PCS-K. The operator inputs the paper size and selects a printing mode from the touch panel display.

Available as a two colour press - Ryobi 782
